Electronics and water do not usually play together very well. See what it takes to build a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) that can withstand the pressure and water in order to take you to a world you might never get to see on your own.
Learn about the history of underwater exploration and what it takes to make your very own underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV). Classes will include individual and group projects. We will learn about the principles of underwater exploration and build an official Seaperch underwater ROV. Along the way we will learn about underwater velocity, acceleration, buoyancy, density, electrical circuitry and more. At the end of this series we will take our ROV for a test run.
For those who would like to keep their ROV, for an additional charge we offer the option to build your own.
This workshop requires use of a pool.
