Sense the world: Sensors

Electronic sensors can “see” the world around us in many ways. They can sense light, sound, pressure and even gravity. You might be surprised at all the sensors you come in contact with in your everyday life, from your phone to fridge.

In this series we will play the role of Q and 007 by building our own spy gear then taking it into the field. For our first build we will be making a proximity sensor to alert us to intruders or little sisters. In our next project we will  be using movement sensors and different color LEDs to make our electronic spy signal cube for covert communication. For our third project we will be building our light following spy bot for remote distraction or delivery of secret information. The fourth and final day will include trouble shooting or tweaking our builds and if time permits a free build using skills and components we have learned about in class.
